The Role
Our Events and Domestic Protocol (EDP) team is seeking an Events Logistics Assistant to provide operational and logistical onsite support for the seamless delivery of Macquarie University events. In this busy and fast-paced role, you will:
- Be responsible for operational and logistical support for assigned events and/or venue spaces, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to meet event deadlines and client expectations.
- Provide onsite operational and logistical support for Flagship, Tier 1 and Tier 2 events, including overseeing casual events support staff as required.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational and logistical issues, resolving queries/issues where appropriate and escalating to the manager as required.
- Be the onsite point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding loan of events equipment, including assisting with equipment delivery and collection.
- Work closely with the EDP team and external suppliers/providers to support the delivery of events operations, logistical and administrative requirements.
- Work with the manager to develop, document, review and maintain operational and logistical processes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Undertake ongoing review of events equipment to ensure they are of appropriate quantity and quality, including stocktaking and organisation of the equipment storeroom and reporting issues to the manager.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with team members, clients and internal/external stakeholders.
About You
You will have experience with providing operational and logistical support for events, and have a good understanding of health and safety requirements related to event management. You are reliable, proactive, highly organised with the ability to manage multiple work demands, and a team player.
You will be personable with excellent communications skills (written and verbal) who can build and maintain relationships with team members, clients and internal/external stakeholders.
You are required to have a valid NSW driver's licence.
