Event Sales Coordinator permanent role for an Events Agency based in Northern Sydney on a salary of $65k - $75k plus super.
The Company:This world-class Events Agency organises and creates a wide variety of large scale Exhibitions, Trade Shows, Fairs and Events. They are looking for an Event Sales Coordinator to join their team to assist with account management and sales activities for key accounts and events. The role will cover both consumer events as well as B2B trade exhibitions focused on specific industries.
The Role:
The Event Sales Coordinator will report to the Sales Manager. The Event Sales Coordinator will be responsible coordinating a specific portfolio of events to help secure sponsorship opportunities as well as selling exhibition space to potential/previous exhibitors. The Event Sales Coordinator will have a focus on relationship management as most clients are long-term clients.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Utilise existing databases to form relationships with clients and take bookings for event space
- Prospect for new businesses to engage and sell space and sponsorship packages
- This is a primarily relationship selling or account management role; there is a small amount of cold-calling for new business, but there are extensive existing databases that make up the bulk of clients
- Maintain CRM and database records to ensure accuracy for effective marketing
- Populate and manage event pipelines for events assisting in providing accurate forecasting and projections
- Work with broader team to develop event content and marketing that aligns with market needs
The ideal candidate will have a passion for events, exhibitions, fairs and trade shows. The candidate will have experience working in events and will ideally have experience in sales. Experience in client and/or relationship management is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous sales experience valued
- Exhibitor or industry knowledge a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and use of CRM systems
- Strong organisational skills and time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as lead a small team.
- Sense of urgency sufficient to recognise that the need to move quickly is an inherent facet of the Exhibition industry
- Ability to maintain a high level of initiative, enthusiasm and drive through the intense work peaks and troughs of a busy event program
- A general can do attitude and the ability to think commercially
- Ability to work 5 days a week in the office in the Northern Beaches
