About the Role:
Are you a hotel professional looking for your next career move? Hyatt Regency Perth has an exciting opportunity for an Event Sales & Planning Executive. Working with key event clients to deliver their programs, as well as fostering strong working relationships with all Hotel departments to ensure the success of events of all shapes and sizes, this opportunity is perfect for someone wanting to expand their hotel events career, or to step across from an operational background into an exciting and fast paced sales and planning environment.
At Hyatt Regency Perth we have a range of meeting and event spaces, from boardrooms through to our magnificent Grand Ballroom which is able to host large scale conferencing, gala dinners and keynote events. No two days in the office are the same!
A new addition to our Event Sales and Planning team, this role will be responsible for client and event management across multiple segments. This includes seeking out new clients for the hotel, re-connecting with previous clients, hosting site inspections, famils, and entertaining across our food and beverage outlets within the hotel. Full training will be supplied to ensure you are up and running with all of our hotel systems and are familiar with all workflow processes.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Working closely with the Senior Event Sales and Planning Executives and Director of Sales and Marketing to grow the hotel’s event business across all segments. You’ll be responsible for a range of our key accounts at the hotel, assisting clients with their events from enquiry through to planning and delivery. Regular contact with clients ranging from site inspections, proactive sales calls and frequent client entertainment opportunities. Active participation in our 2024 revenue strategies and implementation to ensure that the hotel reaches our financial goals.
Qualification:
- Sales & Marketing qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not a must
- Relevant work experience in the same or similar role, ideally in the hotel industry
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and juggle a busy work load.
