Our client is a local government agency seeking an experienced Events and Experiences Events Manager for a 6 month period. Based in Northbridge, the role is responsible to increase visitation by coordinating and delivering Events and Experiences that promote the facilities and providing excellent customer service in a unique environment.Duties will include:
- Oversees and works with event staff to deliver public safety, OSH, security, liquor licensing and environmental standards
- Sources, manages and oversees third party suppliers including catering, AV, entertainment and hire companies
- Assists in consultation with Marketing Director with strategic and commercial business planning across all areas of event business.
- Overseas financial management including quoting, invoicing and event based reconciliation and annual budgets
- Plan and implement all Exhibition Openings, Sponsor/partner events, Open Days and large scale events
- Manage bookings for public programs and events
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in events coordination and/or associated industries
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement innovative visitor programs and Events and manage these so they are on time and on budget
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with people at all levels
- Very good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexibly in order to provide a service outside of normal business hours
- Well developed computer skills including Microsoft Office
