About the Role
We are looking for a team member that is highly organised, has an exceptional attention to detail, thrives with multi-tasking and excels in customer service.
This Events Coordinator role is 2 days per week (Wednesday and Thursday), with the potential to expand to 3 days per week in the future. You may occasionally be requested to work up to 5 days per week, to cover leave.
We're open for this role to be undertaken from our offices in St Kilda, working from home, or a hybrid of both!
There is no requirement to be present at events.
Key responsibilities include, although not limited to:
- End to end event management, from quoting to post-event follow up.
- Client liaison - including meeting virtually to discuss objectives and logistics of their event.
- Managing a team of casual performers and facilitators - including bookings and confirmation.
- Fielding email and phone enquiries.
- Basic invoice management.
- Coordinating event logistics.
- Overseeing and coordinating studio hire.
- Planning & coordinating Regional Tours.
- Coordinating flights and accommodation for performers.
- Supporting the broader African Drumming and Bashiri team in quieter events periods.
About You
You are a team player; you thrive in a dynamic environment and have the ability to manage competing priorities, with the following attributes:
- Fine attention to detail.
- Calm and composed approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
- Technology savvy and a fast learner of new tech - a strong knowledge of Google Workspace, Dropbox and WordPress is desirable, but not essential.
