Events & Engagement Manager permanent role for a Not For Profit based in Melbourne on a salary of $70k - $85k plus super.
The Company:A leading national not for profit membership organisation are looking for an Events & Engagement Manager to join their Melbourne team on a permanent basis. This organisation is responsible for creating and delivering charity and fundraising events to give back to the community.
The Role:
The Events & Engagement Manager will report to the VIC State Manager. The Events & Engagement Manager will be responsible for creating and delivering all fundraising and stakeholder engagement activities for the Victorian Branch of the NFP.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Create an events calendar consisting of a mixture of corporate networking events and peer-to-peer fundraising events.
- In liaison with the State Manager, develop event budgets for all events and fundraising activities.
- Identify and secure sponsors for all events and manage contract deliverables.
- Build strong relationships and develop engagement plans with stakeholders demonstrating continual growth.
- Project manage engagement activities such as worker bees and charity drives.
- Lead and manage volunteers, Future Leaders and event committees.
- Manage all events from concept through to delivery, including but not limited to; creating run sheets and speech notes, briefing speakers, creating and/or coordinating the design of visuals, managing production crews, identifying and securing sponsors, managing suppliers and contractors, creating risk management plans, managing budgets, managing all event administration duties, securing and coordinating volunteers, and collating a post event wrap-up report for each event.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of donor portfolio from all engagement activities and events.
- Develop innovative ways for donors to engage and fundraise
- Effectively liaise and work with various committees to ensure the smooth delivery of each event.
- In liaison with the Marketing team and State Manager, contribute and provide direction to Marketing and Communications plans for all events and campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a membership association or Not For Profit, ideally with experience managing fundraising events and engagement activities for members. Exceptional communication skills are required, and experience working with committees is highly desired.

- Experience with end-to-end event management, from concept to delivery
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Experience identifying and securing sponsorships is highly desirable
- Ability to work from the office in Melbourne CBD 2 times a week
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
