The role:
The Event Manager is responsible for the planning, delivery and review of all events at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in a commercial manner.
The position requires out of normal hours and weekend work.
Key tasks:
- End to End Management of all activities associated with the planning and delivery of Queensland Country Bank Stadium events, including:
- Contractual obligations
- Budgets
- Event and event day operational plans
- Event ticketing
- Event security and policing
- Traffic and transport management and car parking operations
- Event services contracts
- Risk and emergency management plans
- Complaints management
- Pre and Post event reviews
- Recruit and manage event staff, including casual event day staff, ensuring that they are adequately trained, rostered and managed to deliver outstanding events that meet or exceed patron and stakeholder expectations.
- Undertake the provision of support of event planning and relevant costing model to enable effective efficient strategic and operational outcomes.
- Provide operational and event delivery input to planning and collaborate with respective stakeholders as directed.
About you:
- Experience in event management, event operations and event administration at a senior level in a multi-purpose venue.
- Minimum 5 year’s event experience in stadiums or multipurpose venue.

The organisation:
SQ is charged with the management of major sports facilities that are declared under Queensland Government regulation as being venues having the capacity to stage national or international sports events, recreational or entertainment experiences. SQ’s portfolio of venues include Suncorp Stadium, The Gabba, Sleeman Sports Complex, Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre, Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Cbus Super Stadium, Queensland Tennis Centre, and People First Stadium.
