The Role
Reporting to the Events Lead, both the Full Time and Part Time roles will assist in the delivery of civic and community events, community engagement programs, administering Council’s Event Strategy and Council’s Event Sponsorship Program and the assistance with general public relations, community liaison and media relations including managing a range of communication programs relating to events within the Corporate Communications and Events Branch. There is a physical aspect to both positions which will include set up and pack down for events.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with strong interpersonal skills. You will be self-motivated and driven to deliver results in a fast paced work environment. You are passionate about community and general public relations. You will be eager to deliver exceptional experiences to the community whilst being an ambassador for Hawkesbury City Council. You will be physically capable of lifting and moving equipment in order to perform the function of the role.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in the delivery of civic and community events and the delivery of event policy and procedures
- Understanding of event related legal, contractual and risk management issues
- Knowledge of social media platforms to engage and connect with target audiences
- Experience working with volunteers, voluntary committees and community organisations.
- Excellent computer skills
- Working with Children Check
- Part time position available Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
