About CASA

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) is a government body that regulates aviation safety in Australia.

We license pilots, register aircraft, oversee aviation safety and promote safety awareness. We also make sure that the aviation community and the public use and administer Australian airspace safely.

In July 1995, we were established as an independent statutory authority. We operate within a legislative framework made up of acts, regulations, associated legislative instruments and guidance material.

The Division

Stakeholder Engagement Division helps to create and shape the environment in which CASA works to improve aviation safety by building trust and awareness with our stakeholders and by delivering credible, consistent communication, safety education and client services.

The Opportunity

The Client Services Centre is CASA’s industry-facing service delivery function, undertaking work in the areas of licencing and certification and regulatory service approval. The Client Services Centre (The Centre) works closely with all areas across CASA, including with technical staff located in the operational areas.

The Centre operates in a demanding environment, providing vital services that ensure aviation safety requirements are met. The Centre always seeks to operate with a focus on timely support and continuous improvement, taking advantage wherever possible of developments in technology and business process re- engineering to enhance client service.

The Examiner Co-Ordinator works independently with limited direction, providing high level initiative and judgement in the provision and interpretation of relevant legislation, procedures and or policy, covering regulatory, technical, professional and project management streams.

The Examiner Co-Ordinator is responsible for supporting Aviation Medicine Examiners, Client Service Centre Officers, and external stakeholders with respect to technical and non-technical support to enhance stakeholder engagement and management of the DAME/DAO network.

The Examiner Co-Ordinator is required to independently assess applications for delegates against legislative requirements, making recommendations to the approving delegate to appoint.

The Examiner Co-Ordinator is the first point of contact for existing and prospective Examiners, Client Service Centre Officers and external stakeholders who require assistance and support on all aspects of DAME/DAO designation.
