Excavator Operator

Job Description:
Your new company is a multi-state powerhouse with extensive experience in piling and foundation works alongside various other areas of expertise. Due to expansion and successful tenders being won they are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join their team on a permanent basisRole:
As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of piling equipment to drive piles into the ground for construction projects. Your expertise in operating and maintaining piling equipment will contribute to the successful completion of their projects.Responsibilities:

• Operate plant to a high standard and within all safety and legal requirements.
• Daily plant inspections and servicing
• Responsible for attaching all accessories and equipment to plant.
• Guide other contractors & labourers.
• Organising of transport
• Assisting, when necessary, load of materials to be transported
• Make sure site is clean to eliminate hazards.
• Ensure safety of others and work site is paramount.
• Assist to site foreman.
• Acting as traffic control for machinery/trucks or other vehicles whilst on site
• Acting as traffic control for pedestrians and others on the work site
• Control traffic passing near, in and around work site /zones.

Requirements:

• Skilled operating excavators, including piling excavators, with precision and accuracy.
• A good understanding of excavation safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
• A good ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and drawings.
• A good knowledge in the different types of piling and the appropriate equipment for each.
• Skilled in how to operate hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems on the excavator.
• A good understanding of soil types and conditions that may affect piling operations.
• A good understanding of environmental regulations and guidelines for excavation and piling.
• Skilled how to use computer software and other technology to manage excavation and piling operations.
• Drivers License + White Card
• RII Excavator Ticket
