Taking on the role of Executive Assistant with HSBC’s Global Banking business, you will support the Head of Real Asset Finance, Australia, and the Head of Institutional Coverage Group, Australia and their teams. You will also have the opportunity to support the broader Global Banking division as needed, in collaboration with a team of talented EAs and PAs. Being a self-starter, you will be someone who combines sound judgement with the ability to work independently, excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups.
In this varied role, you will use your exceptional organisational skills to tackle a range of administrative and business-related responsibilities, becoming an integral part of this close-knit team where you can really make a difference as you continue to build your career as a business support professional in the HSBC global network.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive executive and administrative support to the Global Banking business.
- Diary management, ensuring thorough briefings on upcoming appointments and meetings.
- Organising domestic and international travel arrangements and booking meetings, restaurants and events as required.
- Co-ordinating overseas visitors’ agendas and taking meeting minutes as required.
- Communicating and collaborating with other EA/PAs to enhance overall organisational effectiveness.
- Monitoring of inbox and phone messages and responding to communications where appropriate.
- Handling the registration and management of gifts and hospitality requests.
- Supporting the team with cost reimbursements, expenses, and reporting.
- Supporting the team with the onboarding of new starters.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong experience delivering high quality Executive assistance in a complex corporate or financial services environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships across the business both locally and globally, at all levels.
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate change and shifting and competing priorities, with your exceptional planning and organisational skills.
- Initiative to anticipate needs and proactively support the business.
- Confident proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
