Executive Assistant/Team Assistant
- Full-time role – based in Sydney CBD
- Hybrid working
- Close-knit start-up – looking for a candidate who will thrive in a small team
We are the Australian Climate and Biodiversity Foundation (ACBF), a well-funded not-for-profit organisation with an actionable plan to protect and regenerate our forests. Our 2030 vision is to protect, restore and enhance Australia’s native forests and woodlands, to safeguard their biodiversity values and carbon stocks.
At the heart of our plan is a ‘backbone organisation’ of experts and advocates. It’s a concept derived from research on ‘collective impact’.
Unlike past efforts, we’re spotlighting the value of working with partners from the environmental movement, the business and investor communities, the scientific community, first nations organisations, political decision-makers, and leaders from rural and regional Australia to drive change at every level.
This is not a grass roots effort. Our organisation is governed by a Board chaired by Dr Ken Henry and the directors are experienced and well-connected leaders from the public service, the business community and philanthropy.
The role:
Reporting to the Governance and Operations Manager (GOM), the Executive Assistant/ Team Assistant is part of a small team responsible for supporting the effective operations of ACBF.
This role would suit an EA who thrives in a dynamic and varied role within a mission focused organisation, and who is used to balancing multiple diaries and working within teams with a 'get the job done' attitude.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic, mission focused, yet down-to-earth team, where no two days are the same:
- Assisting with diary management and meeting & travel coordination
- Supporting the GOM to implement ACBF’s organisational policies and procedures
- Assisting with receipt management and expense claims
- Providing IT support and other admin support as required Events
- Assisting event planning and logistics
- Participate in multiple project delivery teams, attending project meetings as needed, taking notes and actions, contributing to team discussions.
- Any other duties as directed by the GOM
- Tertiary qualifications with minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Executive Assistant
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks and deliverables.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration and relationship-building with internal team members and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in utilising productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), project management and event management software.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset and the willingness to take initiative and anticipate needs.
- Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic work environment.
