With our recently released Homes for Queenslanders ( https://www.housing.qld.gov.au/homesforqueenslanders ) plan, we are full steam ahead implementing a range of exciting initiatives which will support Queenslanders and their housing needs now and into the future.
The Executive Director, Community Housing Delivery will oversee key initiatives from and Homes for Queenslanders ( https://www.housing.qld.gov.au/homesforqueenslanders ) and the Housing and Homelessness Action Plan 2021-2025 ( https://www.housing.qld.gov.au/news-publications/strategies-plans/housing/housing-and-homelessness-action-plan-2021-2025 ) to boost social and affordable housing in Queensland. This includes fostering partnerships with community housing providers and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that expand housing options for Queenslanders.
The Executive Director, Community Housing Delivery will:
- lead the design and delivery of initiatives to increase the supply of social and affordable housing in Queensland, in partnership with the community housing provider sector
- collaborate with partner and senior stakeholders across departments, agencies and jurisdictions to lead, coordinate and monitor housing supply and service reform, to deliver a coordinated and integrated social and affordable housing capital investment program across Queensland
- develop and maintain strategic, collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, including peak advisory bodies and industry associations, to deliver innovative procurement, financing and capital delivery

What we are looking for
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Extensive experience in leading the implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing housing supply to align with the Queensland Government's strategic policy direction.
- Demonstrated capability to effectively navigate and manage intricate stakeholder engagement and relationships, executing strategies and policies, and delivering services.
- Demonstrated success as an executive leader within a large and complex organisation, with proven exceptional leadership skills.
- Experience leading the governance and management of strategic and complex contracting arrangements with key stakeholders.
- Ability to establish and sustain a supportive culture aligned with departmental vision, where health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritised and promoted.
