This role will be a leader of the WA mining team within Natural Resources, Energy & Carbon ("NREC"). The NREC business provides relationship management to corporate clients, capital solutions, risk management and transaction banking to clients in the Natural Resources and Energy sectors including ASX listed corporates, institutional investors, and renewable energy developers. The WA mining team is responsible for the relationship management of clients in the mining sector, as well as project and corporate financing of mining projects and assets.

You will contribute to achieving the team's core purpose by playing a leading role to act as trusted advisor for the client through the demonstration of deep industry expertise as well as innovative deal structuring to deliver optimal financial outcomes.
As part of the NREC leadership team, you will:
- Lead the Perth based NREC coverage team (5 individuals)
- Have accountability for the WA mining portfolio
- Have proven experience of operating in the WA mining market, including senior relationship management with existing and target clients
- Act as a senior leader in the IB&M Perth office
We're interested in hearing from people who
Are committed candidates, seeking to build on a strong foundation developed in institutional banking, project finance or a similar role within the mining industry. Further, you'll bring;
- Strong Project Finance or Structured Finance experiences with track record of deal origination and execution.
- Relevant experience, in a comparable banking role or in-house finance function
- Understanding of the mining industry and the key drivers affecting the industry.
- Extensive contacts throughout the mining industry, with a proven ability to originate new business and enhance existing relationships
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and debt structuring as well as experience in single asset/project financing
- Familiarity across product capabilities including corporate finance, project finance, debt capital markets, global markets and risk management, cash management and payments
- Experience in engaging and building credibility and strong relationships with clients and an ability to anticipate client requirements
