The role
Known as the place "where country meets the outback", the South West region has Roma as its administrative center and vibrant regional and remote country towns at its heart. It's the closest part of the outback to Brisbane and is a kaleidoscope of colour, with red sands, thriving wetlands and national parks. The traditional owners of the lands within the SWHHS have a proud, rich and vibrant culture.
We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee integrated Primary and Community Care services, ensuring quality and innovation across various health initiatives. The Executive Director will collaborate with the Health Service chief Executive and other stakeholders to develop strategic plans, manage resources effectively, and implement evidence-based practices. Key responsibilities include enhancing service delivery, promoting a collaborative culture and driving research and professional development.
The successful person
The ideal candidate for the Executive Director role will possess strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with proven ability to manage and improve health services. They will have a deep understanding of patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices. You will also have:
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in influencing and developing a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead strategic research initiatives and manage complex stakeholder.
- A commitment to professional development, innovation and maintaining high standards of care.
- Proven experience in managing resources, budgets and achieving agreed targets.
