Executive Manager - Accountability

A new and exciting opportunity exists to join us as part of the Chief of Staff team as Executive Manager – Accountability.

Why join us?

  • ART is a hybrid-work organisation – we believe work is best done with a blend of in-person (at our purposefully designed HUBs) and remote (from your home).
  • When you are in one of our brand-new HUBs, you can take full advantage of end of trip facilities, yoga and multi faith room, parent and carer rooms, quiet rooms, BrewHub coffee facilities, and a multitude of team spaces that reflect our collaborative culture.
  • We provide excellent training and development opportunities to support your career progression and actively encourage internal mobility.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity available as the Executive Manager – Accountability in our Chief of Staff team. In this key role, you will work closely with the Chief of Staff to establish and lead the Office of the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR). Day to day, you’ll:

  • Lead Australian Retirement Trust’s FAR obligations;
  • Proactively monitor the FAR regulatory landscape, working collaboratively with legal and compliance to analyse impacts of legislative and regulatory requirements;
  • Be accountable for accurate and timely advice and guidance to Accountable Persons and personnel in key business areas;
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the FAR remuneration compliance by working collaboratively with People and Culture, other Divisions and relevant Board Sub Committees;
  • Connect key issues across Board / Committees and Executive to ensure enterprise alignment; and
  • Support the successful operation of the CEO Office as required.

We’re open to this role being on a permanent or 12-month fixed-term basis – whichever suits you best!

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills we'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you’ll tick some of the following boxes too:

  • Understanding of risk management and governance processes and practices including risk profiling, control assessment and mitigating treatments.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and explain complex information concisely and accurately, through the most effective medium.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the delivery of key projects and change initiatives.
  • Proven capabilities designing and implementing frameworks, systems, and processes that add value.
  • Experience in successfully gaining respect externally among regulators, industry influencers, superannuation executives, corporate executives, and community groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and categorise data and provide information on trends and business impacts.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strategic working relationships, influence, negotiate with and persuade senior stakeholders.
