See yourself in our teamThe Group Treasury Business Partnering and Balance Sheet Management team is responsible for maintaining a strong and efficient Balance Sheet. The team will work closely with CBA Group Business Units, along with the functional teams within Group Treasury, to deliver the CBA purpose by:Enabling effective communication and partnering with business units, support functions and the broader Group Treasury team, to support Balance Sheet strategy and objectivesAnalysing internal and external dynamics (including money supply) to drive Balance Sheet optimisationSupporting strategic development and effective management of the Group’s Balance SheetFormulating strategy, policy and guidance to optimise the Group’s management of capital, funding, liquidity and interest rate riskDo work that mattersThis role reports to the General Manager, Business Partnering and Transfer Pricing to support the team and Group Treasury to optimise the Group’s Balance Sheet, through identifying and leading delivery of Balance Sheet Management initiatives.The successful candidate will have management responsibilities for approximately 5 people.Your role will have exposure to a wide range of stakeholders including senior members of Group Treasury, Business Units, Finance and Risk Management. You will be expected to partner with your and other teams to drive better risk and control outcomes.Your responsibilitiesThis role is wide reaching and not prescriptive in every sense. Discretion and sound judgment is critically important.The role includes, but is not limited, to the following:Build strong relationships as an advisor and partner with Business UnitsIdentify and lead Balance Sheet Management initiatives and drive clear focus on Balance Sheet efficiency, aligned with business strategy where possible. This includes the provision of strategic advice to business units to manage and improve Balance Sheet performanceTranslate macro and micro- economic developments to Balance Sheet impacts to support decision making and drive outcomesResponsibility for the Replicating Portfolio methodology and recommendations, including engagement with key stakeholders across Product, Finance, Risk Management and Group TreasuryLead a team of approximately 5 people and to achieve outcomes and build strong relationships within Treasury and across the GroupAssisting the broader Business Partnering and Transfer Pricing team and Group Treasury drive efficient management of the Group’s Balance SheetWe’re interested in hearing from people who haveTertiary Qualifications – hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or an equivalent business-related disciplineMinimum 10 years’ financial services experience in a high performing environment within Treasury, Risk, Finance or ProductExcellent business acumen and communication skills and experience with managing senior stakeholdersStrong analytical and numeracy skillsStrong people management skills with ability to develop and motivate a high performing teamStrong Business Partnering skills with a proven track record in collaborating, influencing and driving positive outcomes with key stakeholdersRisk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.If you're already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you'll need to apply through to submit a valid application.
