Football Victoria (FV) is the governing body for football (soccer) in Victoria with a clear purpose to inspire and enable Victorians from all walks of life to live and love football, for life.
As a member federation of Football Australia and through the national body's affiliation with FIFA (Federation of International Football Associations), we look after the administration, promotion and delivery of football and futsal (indoor football) across the state including:
- semi-professional ranks
- amateurs
- women and girls
- youth
- referees
- coaches
- officials
- volunteers
Our team of more than 70 people helps to deliver over 40,000 football matches every football season, through the scheduling of annual fixtures and by setting appropriate rules of competition. We also support our appointed match officials, alongside the many thousands of club volunteers, in playing a vital role in making the game happen week in, week out.
Due to some internal changes and investment into our people, a fantastic opportunity is now available for an Executive Manager – Commercial to join our team on full time basis.
Reporting directly to the CEO and located at the world class Home of The Matilda’s in Bundoora, the role is responsible for leading and driving the Commercial aspects of FV including Partnerships and Sponsorships, as well as the commercial management of FV’s venues to achieve and grow FVs commercial revenue targets and ensure service standards are professionally and consistently delivered.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Retain key commercial partners through the active management of strategic plans for each account to meet each stakeholders ROI
- Ensure an outstanding level of servicing and account management is delivered
- Develop and actively manage a prospecting plan (pipeline) to ensure the attainment of new commercial relationships
- Drive the development of new revenue streams and product offerings across commercial partnerships
- Seek and manage way to optimise and commercialise FVs venues through effective activations and venue offerings
- Provide outstanding leadership and vision to the team and provide coaching to each team member to deliver on their objectives and accountabilities
- Be an active member of the Executive Leadership Team and contribute to the overall business strategic plan
- Working collaboratively with other departments to identify value add benefits to commercial partners

- Outstanding verbal and written skills that focus on key drivers and strategic outcomes
- Sporting industry experience
