We are seeking an Executive Manager Environment to join our team to lead and manage Council’s open space, sustainability, waste, and related initiatives. Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure, you will play a vital role in shaping the city’s infrastructure and programs with a strong focus on meeting community needs and delivering exceptional customer service.
As the Executive Manager Environment, you will lead a dedicated team overseeing open space and land management, environment and waste management, and capital projects. Your role will contribute to the overall culture of the organisation by promoting cooperation, collaboration, and coordination between departments.
Key responsibilities include providing strategic and innovative leadership, identifying and delivering projects aligned with the City of Palmerston Community Plan, and ensuring compliance with Council policies and plans related to the environment.
To succeed in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Management/Engineering, with a minimum of seven years relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience in working effectively with government, community, and industry is essential, along with strong leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams.
A generous Remuneration Package of base salary from $150K to $165K, plus private use vehicle will be negotiated based on the preferred candidate’s skills, abilities, and experience.
