Your new organisation 

Glenview is a not-for-profit aged care organisation offering aged care, in-home care, a community centre, and is a registered NDIS provider.

Built in the 1880s, the original Glenview house and its Norfolk Island pine trees have been Glenorchy landmarks for decades. Over the years, Glenview has evolved and added new wings and buildings to meet the growing needs of the community including a Men’s Shed in 2008, a Women’s Shed in 2018, the Betty Mathers Sensory Garden in 2013 and most recently, the Korongee Dementia Village that opened in 2020. 

Your new role 

Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Manager People and Culture is accountable for the effective delivery of contemporary people and culture strategy, policy, processes, reporting while being involved with the implementation of an effective future workforce strategy.

The Executive Manager People and Culture leads and works in collaboration with a small team of 3 direct reports to ensure the successful delivery of all People and Culture functions to meet organisational needs. The role also provides advice to the Senior Leadership Team and Board to advise on all People & Culture matters supported by relevant P&C data. The Executive Manager People and Culture is able to ensure continuous improvement within organisational systems, policies, and processes that enhance effectiveness, risk management and compliance, in line with the relative legislative requirements.

What you’ll need to succeed 

The Executive Manager People and Culture is someone who is an active and effective listener who also holds a collaborative approach to their role and their team. They are someone who is not only hands on in the way that they work, day to day leading the People & Culture team, but are happy to jump in to be involved with the organisation overall. 

You must possess strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence, effectively liaise with clients and support a growing workforce. You also have demonstrated capability in developing and implementing contemporary people and culture business strategies. You must have a passion for the sector or be willing to develop a deep understanding of the aged care industry and sector to ensure alignment with the organisation and its values. 

You will hold a Degree in Human Resources or equivalent, hold a current Police Check, a current Working with Vulnerable Peoples Check – NDIS (WWVP) and current vaccination compliance including Covid-19 and Flu vaccinations.
