Mackay Regional Council is seeking an Executive Manager Parks and Open Spaces to be a key member of our leadership team, shaping a modern council. We want an enthusiastic professional who is a strategic thinker, outcome driven, with the ability to inspire, lead and manage people.
The Mackay Region
Mackay is located halfway between Brisbane and Cairns and is truly the heart of Queensland, covering 7,621 square kilometres of rainforest, Natural Parks, historic townships, miles of golden beaches and more than 70 tropical islands.

About the role
Mackay Regional Council is seeking an exceptional leader to drive a culture of continual improvement within its Parks and Open Spaces Program. The successful candidate will have a background in park and Open space management and operations and be capable of providing leadership and strategic direction to this important and public facing area of Council's operations. A tertiary qualification in a field relevant to the Parks and Open Spaces function is essential and a postgraduate qualification in Management would be highly regarded.
