Job Description: The Executive Manager Infrastructure Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Service Department. The primary purpose of this position is to drive the delivery of high-level services to the community, major projects, and maintenance work, and will also include but not be limited to: Providing strong values-based leadership to the Infrastructure Services Team and role-model the values across the organisation. Providing leadership, direction and guidance in all people management and development activities for the department, ensuring maximum potential is achieved, development needs are met, and a high-performance standard is maintained to achieve a high level of service delivery.
Developing, implement, and review the plans, strategies, policies, work practices and procedures of the department to ensure they are, efficient, effective, contemporary, and sustainable, and meet the needs of the Council, community, applicable legislation, and standards. Developing, monitor, and manage the department’s budget and contribute to a sustainable corporate budget and Long-Term Financial Plan.
Liaising with other Shire officers on matters relevant to Infrastructure Services for the purpose of leveraging opportunities of common interest as appropriate. Establishing and maintain ongoing relationships and networks with other Local Governments, Government Departments, members of the general and business community, associated organisations, agencies, community groups and other like organisations and represent the Shire on various advisory and management committees, as required. Identifying and develop revenue opportunities such as partnership models, external funding, and sponsorship opportunities for the effective delivery of programmes and services.
Developing and maintaining sound relationships with stakeholders relevant to Infrastructure Services to ensure that services are targeted and effective. Managing the delivery of all Infrastructure Services Program within financial and human resource constraints, ensuring that they align with the Strategic Community Plan, Corporate Business Plan and any relevant guidelines and legislation. Undertaking other duties as required within the scope and level of this position, as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
Employment Conditions and Benefits: The successful applicant will join our team with a cash component of the salary for this role is up to $181,087 per annum, pending the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This includes the base salary, allowances, leave loading, and superannuation.
