The Role
The Executive Officer is a full-time role, working with the Director of Governance and Corporate Affairs to support, coordinate, and prepare TasTAFE Board Directors with high-quality correspondence, briefings, and preparation of meetings.
We are looking for a superstar who can liaise with multiple stakeholders, has experience in providing professional and efficient secretariat support to a Board, and understands confidence is part of the layers of success!
This is a state-wide role that prioritises people above all else, that will require the capacity to travel across the state. So, wherever you may be, we can support your integration into the business.
On any given day, your duties will include:
- Efficiently manage TasTAFE Board and Sub-Committee logistics: scheduling, minute-taking, and timely document dissemination.
- Compile confidential materials, conduct research, and provide essential documentation for Board and Committee activities.
- Develop and refine service quality protocols to enhance TasTAFE Board and Committee support.
- Aid in Board Director recruitment and onboarding processes under the guidance of the Director, Governance and Corporate Affairs.
- Organise and maintain databases and file systems for ministerial correspondence and TasTAFE Board documents.
What you bring:
- You are a master multi-tasker, able to delegate and action multiple competing priorities, while obtaining quality outcomes.
- Project work is your staple! You thrive on research, motivating yourself and others, and have exceptional organisation and time management skills.
- Networking, communication, and building stakeholder relationships is second nature. You can convey anything to anyone, in multiple ways
- Experience and understanding of the structure of government agencies and parliamentary procedures.
- Skilled at using multiple systems, software, programs, and the maintenance of office management practices.
You will require a current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
