About us:
The Department of Education International (DEi), trading as Education Queensland International (EQI) is a branch of theDepartment of Education and provides education programs, services and experiences for students and teachers in Queensland.
The Office of the Executive Director (OED) facilitates the enactment of the DEi Strategic Plan 2019 - 2024 and supports all four business units within the branch through timely communication, coordination of external correspondence requests and progression of briefs.
Your role:
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in managing and monitoring the progress of correspondence and maintaining a high level of accuracy in line with established priorities, including monitoring important issues, and follow up action.
- Review correspondence for the branch ensuring compliance with departmental visual and style guides, maintaining consistency with format, structure and protocols.
- Analyse correspondence, briefings and submissions in order to ensure accuracy in content and alignment with relevant legislations and policies.
- Ensure the provision of professional, efficient and confidential support to the Office of the Executive Director
- Contribute to the preparation of Cabinet documents, estimates briefs, Questions on Notice and Possible Parliamentary Questions ensuring parliamentary timelines are adhered to.
- Assist in the preparation of submissions, reports, briefing material and correspondence for the Executive Director and other senior officers on significant portfolio issues.
- Support the coordination of international delegation visits in the department.
- Undertake specialist project activities as required to achieve the outcomes expected of the project.
