Position Overview:

Mobi Healthcare is excited to offer an Exercise Physiology position in an expanding multidisciplinary team across the Greater Western Sydney. We are looking for a new wealth of knowledge with a fresh perspective on therapy guided toward the neurological population. On the job training is provided with continued educational opportunities, whilst working with physiotherapists, speech pathologists and occupational therapists. We are looking for passionate, client centred and goal orientated individuals with a willingness to learn and grow amongst a multidisciplinary and diverse team.

The available role involves:

• Working as part of a diverse team to deliver a high-quality exercise therapy session to clients with adverse types of neurological conditions including, but not limited to; stroke, MS, Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability etc
• Accurately assess individual client needs and set goals accordingly
• Prepare reports and plans, communicate with other health professionals related to the clients, as well as external funding agencies including the NDIS
• Work under the guidance of a supervisor to manage cases with varying conditions
• Conduct one-on-one or group-based sessions accordingly
• Data collection for ongoing research

About the successful candidate:

• Minimum qualifications include completion of at least a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology degree or a Masters of Exercise Physiology, from an accredited University;
• Current registration with ESSA;
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence and own vehicle required to provide home, school or community visits on occasion;
• Confident and effective communication skills with clients and fellow medical professionals;
• Demonstrate a high level of professional empathy towards clients and the ability to build strong rapport;
• Adherence to maintaining appropriate professional boundaries with clients and their families;
• Exhibit strong teamwork skills, showcasing the values required for seamless collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team to address a client’s needs.
