This role is a Temporary Part time until January 2025. The applicant will be required to work in a multidisciplinary team and autonomously to provide exercise assessment and programs to acute, high risk cardiovascular patients. You will possess knowledge of the challenges and opportunities for the delivery of culturally appropriate exercise and healthy lifestyle programs for communities and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.The Exercise Physiologist will work closely with:
- Clinical Nurse Consultant Heart Failure
- Medical, nursing and allied health staff within the cardiology team at Nepean Hospital
- Exercise Physiologists at Nepean Hospital
- Exercise Physiology under-graduate and post-graduate students.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in providing a high standard of evidence-based clinical assessment and exercise intervention for patients with chronic and complex disease in outpatient and community settings. This includes both group and individualised interventions for cardiovascular disease.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated effective time management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and contribution to evidence based practice, research and/or quality improvement.
- To have a high level of computer literacy and ability to work with Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Current NSW driver’s licence.
