Exercise Physiologist
Permanent Part Time -64 hours per fortnight

MDHS is seeking a Grade 1 or 2 Exercise Physiologist to join our Community Services team in this permanent role. In this position you will be expected to work across both acute and community teams. The role is designed to provide specialist Exercise Physiologist assessment and intervention to those community clients who access Community Services at Maryborough District Health. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications / Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology and eligibility for full membership with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
- Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of chronic and age-related conditions.
- Demonstrated understanding and skills in group work.
- Established practice in the principles of client-centred practice.
- Understanding and skills in health promotion and program development.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated understanding and skills in group work.
- Ability to communicate in a timely and effective manner
