- Salary AHP-2 $86,950 - $100,729. p.a.
- Temporary up to 12 months and part-time working 30 hours per week
- the development, coordination and implementation of high quality assessment and goal orientated treatment programs that contribute to total wellbeing, foster optimal client service outcomes, increase independence and improve quality of life for Adolescent and Young Adults (AYAs) with Cancer.
- As an active member of the Youth Cancer Service Multidisciplinary team, the incumbent provides discipline specific assessment, a therapeutic intervention plan, liaison, advocacy and mobilisation of community resources for AYAs utilising our services.
- As a clinical specialist and a member of the interdisciplinary team, the position works with AYAs from 15 to 25 years old with cancer and their families across various cancer care sites for inpatients, outpatients or at outreach locations.
- Participates in prevention and health promotion strategies, education and other projects, including research specific to the designated AYA cancer population
- An appropriate degree or an equivalent qualification that entitles ordinary membership with Exercise and Sports Science Australia as well as accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist and specialist accreditation in either musculoskeletal, cardiac or neurological rehabilitation.
