As a service of The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF Group), The Brain x Body Fitness Studio (BBFS) are seeking a Senior Exercise Physiologist to join our fabulous team, for a 12-month parental leave contract.

The Brain x Body Fitness Studio (BBFS) is an Exercise Physiology led service offering clinical assessments, individualised programs, small group classes and specialised equipment for people living with chronic conditions. Working alongside the team at THRFG Parkinson’s & Stroke, the BBFS has a specialised interest in Neurological conditions, and pride ourselves in offering a personalised service while embracing a flexible work environment, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
About the role
Reporting to the Brain & Body Fitness Services Lead this role is responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, ensuring relevant and clinical information is collected to inform safe and effective exercise prescription across a range of chronic conditions.
- Utilising evidence-based exercise prescription and clinical reasoning to assist in the management of chronic conditions.
- Supervision of all members to ensure safety while exercising.
- Admin tasks including high level treatment notes, NDIS reporting, outcome measures.
- Working collaboratively with other BBFS/THRFG staff and allied health professionals internally/externally.
- Running specialised group classes ie: Pilates, boxing, stretch and move.
- Connecting with members, families, support coordinators to maximise shared client goals.
We're looking for individuals who possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology with a minimum of 4 years’ experience.
- Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with members of all ages, cultures and backgrounds.
- An energetic personality who can create a high energy, positive environment within BBFS.
- Passionate about improving the physical health and quality of life of our members.
