About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate preferably with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a fast paced kitchen environment .There is an opportunity within the roll for career progression/promotion if desired for correct candidate.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The job will be a hands on role delivering consistency and the successful candidate will have good time management and communication skills .
The successful candidate will need to be a team player need to demonstrate the following ;
- Passionate about food & a good knowledge of local food trends as well as some knowledge of modern Australian/European cuisine
- Ability to assist with menu writing & creation
- Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene & HACCP requirements
- Ability to work with a team is essential, team leadership an advantage.
Skills and experience
We also operate outside catering from time to time, so you may be required to work outside the venue at large events when required.
- The right candidate would need to have 2 years in a similar role
- Preferably previously worked in a fast paced bar/restaurant service
- Good communication skills
- Hands on role, delivering a consistent and outstanding dining experience
- You will be adept at running a busy service
- You will be creative and contribute to menu ideas
- You will guide and teach junior team members
- You will establish a strong and positive relationship with FOH
