Are you passionate about creating delicious toasties and cookies? Join our team as a Cook and bring your talent to our brand-new Specialty Coffee, Cookie and Toastie Shop. We seek an experienced Cook with a minimum of 2 years in a prep kitchen who is skilled in preparing delicious toasties and mouth-watering cookies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards, emphasising toasties and cookies.
- Plan and create innovative and enticing special menus that include these specialties.
- Ensure food is cooked promptly and at the proper temperatures while maintaining consistency and exceptional quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, paying particular attention to the toastie and cookie preparation areas.
- Ordering and monitoring supplies and ingredients, specifically related to toasties and cookies.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations, promoting a clean and safe kitchen environment for everyone.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Cook in a prep kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining quality and presentation under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately, ensuring consistent taste and texture in each creation.
- Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, creating a safe and hygienic cooking environment.
- Team player with practical communication skills, able to collaborate and contribute to a cohesive culinary team.
