About the role
Reporting to the Shipping & Customs Manager, the Export Coordinator will ensure a seamless process from receipt of orders through to delivery to customer managing the various tasks ensuring compliance with export requirements.
Responsibilities of the role
- Prepare and manage all necessary export documentation in an accurate and prompt manner, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, RFPs, phytosanitary certificates, and other required customs documents.
- Collaboration with demand planners, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers to arrange transportation of goods in a timely, cost effective manner.
- Coordinating the delivery and loading of containers with warehouse and cartage companies, managing the lodgement of RFPs, EDNs and PRAs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers (internal and external) regarding export orders. Provide timely updates on order status and shipping schedules.
- Stay abreast of international trade regulations, ensure compliance with export laws and regulations of various countries.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (i.e., DAFF, ABF, VECCI, DFAT) and customers / foreign government bodies to ensure export documentation meets importing country requirements.
- Track key export metrics such as shipping lead times, on-time delivery dates, and transportation costs. Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Your experience
- MUST HAVE experience in export coordination or international logistics, food industry experience highly desired.
- Strong understanding of export regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with export management software is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication, organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure with a proactive, can-do attitude
