Duties and Responsibilities:
- Efficient and accurate preparation of Import/Export documentation and reporting
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers and freight forwarders / shipping lines to provide timely logistics.
- Ensure that country specific documentation protocols are met on each individual shipment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members in the office, such as trade and accounts teams.
- Provide administrative support to the internal stakeholders and teams.
- Managing air and sea logistics
- Managing customer payments and email management
Required skills and Experience:
- Experience preferred, however not required.
- Familiarity with the meat industry is advantageous.
- Computer proficiency and import/export documentation software experience also preferred.
- Ability to manage bookings with shipping lines and freight rates.
- Generation of RFPs, EDNs, PRAs and forwarding instructions.
- Checking letters of credit, import permit, bill of lading.
- Creation of invoices, packing lists, health/Halal, Insurance certificate and certificate of origin
- Experience with SYSCOB and export – IT plus is advantageous, though not essential.
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
- General office duties
- Experience required with MYOB and/or QUICKBOOKS.
Training will be provided on the job.
