The Opportunity:
Pending award of new projects, we are seeking highly skilled and experienced Project Managers (Projects) to join our dynamic team.
Reporting to the Head Of Projects you will lead a team in the execution of Sustaining Capital and Greenfields EI&C projects in the Mining and Resources industry, and provide effective end to end management of the contracted scope/s. This role is site based on a FIFO roster to be agreed and to meet the project needs (8/6 or 5/2/4/3) with occasional head office attendance (Jandakot WA), dependent of the stage of the project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting tender / bid development and award;
- Focal point for the execution of the project;
- Building and developing safe and successful project teams;
- On-going review and alignment of program;
- Stakeholder engagement;
- Scope management;
- Cost management;
- Schedule management;
- Sub-contract management;
- Safety management; and
- Quality management.
The successful applicant will have:
- Trade License and 10+ years’ experience in the Mining or similar industry or Engineering Degree (Electrical / Control);
- Formal qualification in project management or construction;
- Experience managing EI&C construction teams and multi-discipline subcontractor teams within the Mining Industry;
- Proven experience managing projects on the Contractor side;
- Competent with contract, financial and commercial management;
- Experience with Primavera P6 Planning Software preferred;
- Strong leadership and team development skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Exemplary behaviour with regards to safety leadership; and
- Demonstrated commitment to Company Values.
