Aviso Broking, part of the Aviso Group, is seeking a General Manager of QLD to become an integral part of our success story. With a strong presence in New South Wales and Queensland, our business consists of 11 offices, 150 dedicated employees, and an impressive $170 million in Gross Written Premium (GWP). We're on the lookout for a talented individual to join our Management Team and help us continue our remarkable journey.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an individual who embodies the following characteristics and qualifications:
• Experience in leading and motivating a team
• Proficiency in managing change, show initiative to develop new and creative approaches to problem solving and innovation
• Willingness to create and drive strategy in order to execute growth plans
• Strong experience with proven sales success in General Insurance
• A proven track record in driving new business development/account management across the full sales lifecycle
• Existing strong relationships with insurers
• Proven ability to be successful in a complex / matrixed organisation
• Track record of collaboration to enlist support and commitment from peers to deliver insurance solutions
• Proven performance in executing outcomes and ensuring income results are achieved for your teams
ADDITIONALLY, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO POSSESS:

• Demonstrate sound negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Communicate effectively, with strong proficiency in English and literacy.

THE ROLE
To provide leadership and support of our people, to collaborate with the broader leadership team to deliver our top line results and enhance our customer experience. Delivering on financial results while building a culture where people want to come and work.
Here's what you'll be doing:
• Provide leadership, professional development and mentoring for our people
• Drive the culture and direction of the team, driving the business forward
• Work to developing a culture of participation and involvement by encouraging the team to communicate effectively and efficiently
• Ensure selection and recruitment meets the high standards of quality we expect in our people
• Perform market research and complex analysis of possible opportunities
• Develop and execute an effective go-to-market strategy
• Create, review and implement business plans that will position ourselves for significant growth
• Influence our marketing strategy and app roach
• Responsibility for delivering the top line results, while focussing on efficiencies in performance
• Develop and prospect referral networks
• Support and facilitate our relationships with Insurance companies, ensuring they become key supporters
• Manage the performance on our brokers, ensuring that all achieve their OKR’s
• Strategically lead a team of brokers on a variety of transactions from initial client pitch to transaction closing for new business and renewals, providing support on key
account engagement processes and relationship strategies
• Actively pursue business development opportunities and originate new client Engagements
• Capitalise on relationships already developed with clients as well as developing new ones
• Manage day-to-day aspects of client relationships, serving as primary client contact
• Ensuring the team of brokers manages its process in accordance with our compliance framework
