About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to potentially join a team in the Queensland area. This role would be a project based role working on site with our project management team.
The proposed roster for the project working a 2-1 roster earning a competitive package. With accommodation and meals provided in a camp arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality plans and documentation completed to project requirements
- Assist with Subcontractors engagement, onboarding and management
- Development and execution of QA/QC and Document control
- Development of detailed work packs for work crews.
- Assist with variation process including pricing, submission and execution.
- Participate in weekly and monthly client meetings
- Scheduling updates and development of shutdown schedules with Project Scheduler
- Manage RFI/TQ process, track progress and report to Project Manager
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Must be able to pass a mines medical and drug and alcohol test
- Knowledge of design techniques, technical plans, drawings and models
- Analyse drawings and specifications
- Understand contractual terms and conditions
- Knowledge of the Construction industry
- Knowledge of Mining Industry, Coal Wash Plants and Materials Handling systems.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently to a high quality standard
- Ability to comfortably read and understand drawings
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to observe proper safety precautions
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, leading hands, supervisors, managers and the public
- Ability to work from construction specifications
- Ability to evaluate and implement appropriate work methods
- Ability to analyse information
- Ability to develop budgets/schedules
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
Ideally you will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
