About the opportunity
The External Marketing Manager sits within the customer industry engagement team and plays a key role in business customer engagement activities, building sales relationship opportunities and positions Australia Post as an eCommerce thought leader.
This role is a fixed term 12-month contract, in which you will be collaborating with Industry Associations and creating event marketing experiences that drive visibility of business expertise and capability is instrumental to the success in this role.
This role is not like a typical events role, it requires an in-depth understanding of the ecommerce industry, and the business customers that operate in that landscape.
You’ll be responsible for
- partnering with senior figures in key associations and members of the senior leadership team at Australia Post,
- Leveraging partnerships with Industry associations to drive member advocacy and Australia Post’s thought leadership narrative,
- Creating event experiences that drive collaboration and engagement with our business customers with a focus on growth and retention.
- Managing program budgets.
About you
You will be an experienced events marketing professional, with a background in large national events and business to business marketing.
You’ll also need.
- 5+ years’ experience working in a marketing, communications, or events role within a commercial environment.
- Event project management and creative planning skills, extending to content ideation.
- Proven experience managing relationships with C-suite stakeholders, customers, and partners.
- Experience building strong cross functional relationships within a complex environment.
- Delivery of initiatives within a complex environment with ability to influence multiple internal stakeholders at a senior level.
- Ability to balance strategic capability and requirement for ‘hands on’ program delivery.
- Deep knowledge of Retail and eCommerce industry landscape.
- Strategic ability to identify marketing and event initiatives that target customer retention and growth.
