Seeking experienced Facilities Engineers to support the maintenance of a major hospital in Nedlands

A major healthcare facility in Nedlands is seeking a number of Facility Engineers to join the Facilities Management team as soon as possible. Should you be engaged in this role you will be required to work on a rotating shift roster covering shift times of either 7AM - 3PM, 3PM - 11PM, and 11PM - 7AM. For this engagement you will be paid on a competitive hourly rate and will be engaged on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract.Your new role
As the Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all facility operations and building management systems across the hospital. In addition, you will be responsible for:- Attending to different plant rooms to ensure that equipment is working correctly and is maintained
- Responding to minor emergency repairs required throughout the hospital buildings, facilities and plants
- Carrying out daily steam boiler checks and water chemical analysis tests
- Providing advice and compiling reports on minor works carried out
- Undertake high voltage switching procedures when necessary
- Support the wider facilities team with any other business to support the team workflow
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you must have:- Possession of a relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, or Marine Certificate of Competency
- Possession or progress towards a Worksafe Australian Licence to Perform High Risk Boiler Intermediate Certificate
- White card
- Demonstrated operational experience in working with refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and plant equipment
- Strong knowledge and understanding of emergency situation procedures
- Current 'C' or 'C.A' class driver's licence
- Flexibility in working on a shift roster
