About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a facilities or property management professional to join our fantastic team. As the Facilities Officer, you will work within the Wesley Property team and support Wesley Mission staff across the organisation.
Wesley Mission has a very diverse property portfolio of 120+ owned, leased and licensed properties. We are looking for a facilities or property professional with exceptional people skills, solutions driven, and detail orientated.
This role provides facilities management across a variety of assets to ensure that building operations meet operational and asset management requirements. This includes conducting inspections, responding to repairs and maintenance requests, managing routine and reactive maintenance, contractor management and audit where required.
Essential skills/knowledge
- demonstrated relevant experience with an understanding of facilities and/or property management including contractor management
- understanding of routine and reactive maintenance including scoping and auditing of works
- exceptional people skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, communicating and motivating others, contributing to a positive work environment with a strong focus on customer service, problem solving and attention to detail
- computer literacy and experience with the Microsoft suite
- working knowledge of maintenance responsibilities in relation to WHS, Building Code of Australia, Local Government planning and building requirements
- must hold a current unrestricted Class C NSW drivers licence and be available to travel across the Sydney metropolitan area and regional NSW from time to time.
