About the RoleSydney Grammar School is seeking to employ a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Officer for our Edgecliff Preparatory School. This is a permanent full-time position, commencing as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring high-quality management and provision of facilities and services for the stakeholders of the Edgecliff Preparatory School. The Facilities Officer will work closely with both the Facilities Manager and the Headmaster of the Edgecliff Preparatory School and will be proactive in coordinating the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of all buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment to meet specified requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience in building maintenance and/or construction installation.
- Proven facilities management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision of building works, contractor management and project management.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in delivering facilities management services using facilities management software.
- Ability to work at heights, confined spaces, and ladders.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of maintenance duties including technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the role.
- Must be flexible and work outside of core hours if required on occasion.
- Ability to work in a team environment and unassisted.
- Must be a team player and work cohesively within a team environment.
- Experience working in a school environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Trade qualifications and experience in Building, plumbing, electrical, or similar.
- NSW ‘C’ Class driver’s license.
- NSW Construction White Card.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- First Aid Certificate is highly desirable.
- LR class driver’s license is highly desirable.
- Literate in MS Products Conditions.
- Work uniform will be supplied.
- Overtime may be required on occasion.
- School Surface Pro and mobile phone will be supplied.
- Adhere to school policy and procedures.
