SALARY: $1,149.90 - 1,317.13 pw + Super

Camden Council is looking for a dedicated Facilities Support Officer to join the teams based between our Narellan Works Depot and Oran Park Administration Building. The successful applicant will be responsible for the smooth running of Council's facilities through the efficient presentation of Council's buildings, facilities and adjacent grounds. Some of the duties you will be responsible for are inspections to all site buildings, monitoring the building maintenance system, liaise and coordinate with internal clients and undertake procurement of goods and services. A strong customer focus and an ability to undertake hands on maintenance tasks combined with flexibility are key skills we are looking for to fill this role within our Building Maintenance Team.
Essential:
- Previous experience in building maintenance and or an associated trade qualification.
- Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and identify priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and committed to providing excellent customer services in all situations.
- Current Class C Drivers License
- Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WHS and ethical practice principles and to act with probity at all times.
Desirable:
- First Aid Certificate
- Previous experience with Building Management Systems
- Food handling experience
- Event Management
To meet Council's WHS requirements and in accordance with Council's Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication. If a medical contraindication certificate is provided, it will be assessed against a risk assessment and the decision of whether Council accepts the medical contraindication certificate, will be based on operational needs.
