Council’s Engineering Development & Delivery Branch is recruiting for the position of Facility Projects Officer.
Position Objectives
The officer will be responsible for:
- Supporting Council’s Building Asset strategies by providing effective and efficient support to Council’s Facility Projects Team Leader with the design and delivery of capital works projects. This includes but not limited to providing support in the following areas: internal & external consultation, inception, design, architectural, engineering, capital project Proposals, permits, project delivery, project completion and hand over through internal and external suppliers
- Provide effective and efficient project support services for the planning and delivery of capital works projects in relation to time, cost and quality.
- Support the delivery of Council’s annual capital works program as per agreed organisational timelines.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- A minimum certificate 4 qualification in building, project management or construction related discipline or demonstrated significant and relevant project and building construction experience.
- Extensive contract and project management experience in the construction and building industry
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills including MS Office suite, records management and financial systems
- High level customer service skills and experience
- Experience in working to timeframes and reporting requirements
- Experience in working in an environment where quality and attention to detail are required.
- Current drivers licence.
- A current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one.
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $75,461 to $86,603 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
