The main responsibilities for this hands-on position include leading and supervising the production performance and output of a team of 20+ staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Successfully meeting manufacturing targets and productivity goals.
- Ensuring customer orders are produced on-time to specification.
- Monitor quality standards to ensure product Integrity.
- Managing and supporting the ongoing effectiveness of your Team Leaders ensuring product quality, on time and in full product delivery (DIFOT)
- Managing new staff and managing staff performance issues.
- Manage leave rostering and training development.
- Liaise with other departments to resolve quality and service issues.
- Planning, organising, and controlling production activities to meet quality standards and production schedules
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Managing and motivating the production team to ensure maximum performance and efficiency
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and maintain safe working conditions
- Monitoring production processes to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of production activities
- Overseeing inventory management to maintain adequate stock levels while minimising waste
- Preparing regular reports on production performance and presenting findings to senior management
- 3+ years experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with production staff,
- Prior planning experience.
- Knowledge of production-related OHS and safe work systems.
