The Factory Operations Manager will lead the charge in a dynamic environment where innovation meets manufacturing excellence. Based on site in a newly expanded facility, this hands-on roll will oversee warehouse, logistics and production lines (CNC machines), ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety which are paramount to the success of the business. Responsibilities Include:
- Direct and manage daily manufacturing operations, including CNC machine operation, production scheduling, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance to quality regulations and be part of future auditing.
- Provide effective leadership and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Uphold and promote a strong OH&S culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Drive operational efficiency initiatives to optimise production processes and minimise downtime, particularly critical in a high-capacity, national operation.
- Support the implementation of ERP systems and other operational tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Coordinate machine maintenance schedules and lead sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
- Relevant degree is advantageous.
- Production scheduling and an understanding of CNC machine operations and maintenance required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and practices, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees. Forklift license advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing CI initiatives to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (experience supporting the roll-out an ERP system is advantageous) and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across teams and stakeholders. A collaborative leader who is hands-on and leads by example.
