The Role
Our Family and Child Connect program has an opportunity for a motivated and passionate Family Response Facilitator to join the team. Located in Brisbane, this role will be a Permanent, Full-time position.
The Family and Child Connect (FaCC) which includes the Indigenous Family and Child Connect (IFaCC) is a Queensland Government funded initiative aimed at ensuring vulnerable families and children have access to high-quality services at the right time to help them to maintain the family unit. Children and young people are at the centre of the system, with supported and supportive parents, families and communities. The Brisbane Region FaCC and IFaCC are delivered by the Yadeni Tago program, a partnership between Mercy Community and Kurbingui Youth and Family Development.
This position offers a competitive annual salary of $82,044 to $88,288 plus superannuation dependent on qualifications and experience. You will also have the opportunity to increase your take-home pay by salary sacrificing and other benefits (more information below).
To be eligible for this position, you will require:
- 3 or 4 year tertiary qualification in Child Protection, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline.
- It is desirable if you have previous experience working effectively across a range of service providers, both government and non-government, to negotiate high quality service provision to families who have complex issues.
- Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or Open Driver Licence.
- A positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
- Evidence of current vaccination against Whooping Cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement, unless applicable exemption provided as per the relevant MC procedure.
