JOB DESCRIPTION
Family Violence is a serious health issue which has a profound impact on the psychological and physical well-being of victim-survivors. Alfred Health recognises that a health service is often the first point of contact for people who have experienced Family Violence and, healthcare professionals are in a unique position to identify and respond to Family Violence Alfred Health is committed to implementing a whole-of-health approach, informed by and aligned to the MARAM framework and SHRFV, to support embedding practices of identifying and responding to Family Violence experienced by patients and their families. The Family Violence Program's key objectives are to increase staff competence, develop and share resources build hospital capacity across the service, respond to Family Violence and improve outcomes for patients and families who have experienced Family Violence. The Family Violence Program plays a key role in coordinating activities across the service that mitigate risk and increase safety for patients and their families.
The Position Summary
This important role will work collaboratively to further develop and meet the objectives of the Family Violence Program at Alfred Health and, support a whole of health response to Family Violence. A key focus of this role is to deliver expert support and advice to teams across the health service and provide Family Violence Clinical Leadership to the program and service. You will work collaboratively to increase staff competence, develop and share resources and build capacity to enhance identification and responses to Family Violence, improving outcomes for patients and families who have experienced Family Violence. In this role you will have the opportunity to further develop your leadership, clinical and specialist Family Violence practice through key clinical activities, delivery of clinical education and lead key quality improvement projects.
The Family Violence Clinical Lead will work cohesively with the Family Violence Program Lead and Social Work manager to form the Family Violence leadership responsible for developing the priorities and strategic planning for Family Violence across all areas of the organisation.
