Our client owns a 1420-hectare mixed farming enterprise located 12 km north of Canowindra, NSW. The farm comprises dual-purpose merino sheep, cattle, and dryland broadacre cropping. The property is well-equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and technologies like GPS guidance and soil carbon sequestration strategies. The employer follows ethical livestock principles, including transitioning to non-mulesed merinos, and adheres to high animal welfare standards. The farm implements a 1,100-ha cropping program with a zero til approach, focusing strongly on soil health and cover cropping. The Role
The business is looking for a motivated applicant to be part of a professional team with a strong positive, inclusive, open and innovative culture where they take great pride in their staff. The role will require you to be involved in all aspects of the operation, from operating machinery to livestock care and general farm maintenance, including fencing and repairs. To be successful in this position, your attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn will set you apart. Your curious nature and ability to bring forward ideas will be regarded favourably. Additionally, you will be required to have a current driver’s license.
