Operating over 5 joining properties totalling 12,000 hectares, our clients are a predominantly dryland farming business, with 8,000 ha-cropped yearly to Wheat, Barley and Chickpeas. Currently running 2500 Merino ewes plus progeny, cattle are also opportunistically traded in good seasons.
We are seeking a reliable general Farm Hand with a strong mechanical aptitude to join the existing team in this family-owned operation. This role will work across all aspects of the mixed farm, focusing on cropping operations. This uses well-maintained and modern equipment, including a Goldacres G6 Self-propelled 36m Sprayer, Two Camera Sprayers mounted on a tow behind Goldacres, and various Modern John Deere tractors as well as a JD 690 header using Greenstar GPS Technology. This position is not limited to applicants with a mechanical trade background; we are seeking people who have general farmhand knowledge and a keen interest in the mechanical side of the operation. On-the-job training can be provided for this role.
On-farm, there is a 7000-tonne silo complex and additional bunker storage, and day-to-day duties will include bunker work and grain logistics, tractor operations such as sowing and spraying, general mechanical and farm maintenance as well as some livestock handling and husbandry when required.

Ideally, you will:
- Have some welding and fabrication skills.
- Have sound mechanical ability or a keen attitude to learn.
- Be computer literate and able to operate modern farming equipment.
- Be willing to work independently or as part of a team.
- Chem Cert or willing to obtain.
- Driver's license essential.
