Surrounded by the Royal Botanic Gardens, beautiful Sydney Harbour, the city skyline and located on the historic Macquarie Street is Sir Stamford Circular Quay. Awarded for its outstanding service and facilities, the hotel features 18th Century Louis XV and Georgian antiques, and houses one of Australia's largest private collections of fine art. The hotel itself partly resides in a building dating back to the late 1800's that is listed with the National Heritage Register.

The role
Mix It, Shake It, Create It
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, creative and energised F&B Professional or Bartender wanting to step up in their career path as F&B Team Leader in our Highlander Whiskey Bar!
Reporting to the F&B Manager you will be assisting with the performance of our Bar from finance to service perspective. You will need to assist to ensure that our bar operation is running smoothly, drive initiatives in Food and Beverage products, and introduce standards and processes to ensure high standards of guest interaction that is expected at a 5 star property.
Our ideal candidate needs to demonstrate a passion for food and beverage, a strong focus on customer satisfaction, a hands-on approach and passion to share their knowledge with the F&B Team.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the F&B management team with day to day operations of the outlet
- Assist to lead, mentor and train the Food and Beverage team, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment
- Ensure that team members are briefed on all Food & Beverage campaigns and initiatives
- Actively participate in improving the service standards and ratings
- Assist in the induction process of new team members
- Provide input on greater Food and Beverage strategies
- Monitor adherence to all liquor control policies and procedures.
- Assist to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Promote the competitive environment of up-selling and cross-selling
- Be an advocate of the procedures in place
Key requirements
- Be a creative and experienced Bartender with great personality and passion for our product
- Solid Food & Beverage experience with a strive to step up to the next level
- Flexibility with hours as will need to oversee the operation in the evening periods and on weekends.
- Must be proficient in Micros and hold a current NSW RSA
