Your New Role
We are growing our team and looking for new nurses to join us providing support to patients and the clinical team with fertility issues.
Our Fertility Nurses are the main point of contact for patients and work closely with the Melbourne IVF Fertility Specialists. We support, educate, counsel and guide our patients through their fertility treatment with both face to face and phone consultations.
Fertility services is a unique and evolving field of practice and therefore if you aren't an experienced Fertility Nurse a 5-week comprehensive orientation program is provided. The speciality offers many opportunities for ongoing professional development.
The position will be based predominantly at our clinic in East Melbourne offering a great location to work however we also have a range of fertility clinics which are located around Melbourne which you may be required to work at sometimes.
East Melbourne clinic is conveniently located approximately 2km from the CBD adjacent to the picturesque Fitzroy Gardens and a short walk from the vibrant cafe and shopping areas of Smith and Brunswick Streets. The area is well serviced by public transport. The hours of service are from 7am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 3.30pm Saturdays and Public Holidays. Fertility Nurses work a variety of shifts within these hours and generally work one Saturday shift per month.
What you will need
Part time/ Full time Registered Nurse or Midwife:
Salary Range according to your grade/year - $71,000 - $95,000
- Comprehensive clinical background
- Current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 Nurse or Enrolled nurses with medication endorsement
- Ultrasound scanning skills and previous IVF experience desirable
- High level of empathy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Clinical Nurse Specialist:
Salary Range - $90,000 - $99,000
- Ultrasound scan trained with the ability to provide training, education and ongoing support to developing nurses
- Comprehensive clinical background and experience in fertility nursing
- Current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 Nurse or Midwife
- High level of empathy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
